Surprise

Hours from now, Barack Obama will be accepting the presidential nomination of the Democratic party in Denver. He's going to be giving a speech in front of some 75,000 people and, in case you didn't know, he's going to kick ass. Barring rain or an assination attempt, it's going to be awesome and many will fawn over it.

While helping the lady pack last night for her move out, we had the convention coverage on the other night. I noticed that while the CNN team was preparing for Joe Biden to speak and the pundits pontificated, John Kerry was speaking at the moment.

I noted that it was somewhat sad that the guy who was the party's nominee just four years ago was now a background image with Wolf Blitzer talking over him. But then they cut to Kerry, and if you didn't see his speech, you really oughta' check it out and see if you're wondering the exact same thing as me:

So, where was this guy four years ago?
