Somebody asked why I didn't put my NCAA picks up here, seeing as I put up most every other prediction about, oh, everything here.
While I certainly do love the annual tournament in college basketball this time of year and try my best to catch every game of it, the rest of the season usually holds no interest for me whatsoever. Actually, most college sports in general are this way. Even most of the bowl games in football have lost their appeal to me.
Now, that's not to say I didn't make predictions for this year's tournament—you can find them here if you really want to see them, but they're clearly nothing worth noting—but even then, my predictions when it come to college athletics are influenced quite heavily by which team I'd like to see win.
So no matter what the overwhelming coverage would say or the fact a team was, say, undefeated, I still wouldn't pick a Duke or a North Carolina to ever go all the way, because I'll be hoping like hell that anybody beats them and shuts their obnoxious fans up for another year.
Anyway, so the general rule of thumb around these parts is, "Love to watch college sports, but don't really care enough before or after the game to want to write about it most of the time."
I've got other stuff that I've been putting off posting here, but I'll be putting up some time this week. I think I should have some kind of a climax to one story by then.
