Week Seven Picks

And new for this week? My pick for the suicide pool I just joined! The one team I picked to win that week (and cannot pick again for the remainder of the season) will be denoted by this logo with its name in this color:

Ah, yes. Looks just like a manic-depressive ex-girlfriend of mine ...

Anyway, all that said, let's all savor the moment. At least I'm still in the suicide pool for now and Jacksonville has the week off!

14 points
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-2) over Seattle Seahawks (1-4)
<==========================

Things just do not seem to be getting any better for the Seahawks—or the rest of the sports scene in Seattle, really. (Did you get your new Kevin Durant jersey?)

Oh, and Tampa Bay is undefeated at home. Have fun there.

13 points
New York Giants (4-1) over San Francisco 49ers (2-4)

The champs are back at home after being humiliated on Monday night. The Niners will make for acceptable fodder, though it make take them a half to lay down and die.

12 points
New York Jets (3-2) over Oakland Raiders (1-4)

No, I didn't really notice I had the two Big Apple teams back-to-back for my two-three games this week, but what can I say? The Raiders may be able to give the Jets a scare, but at the end of the day, they're still Oakland and that's still Favre.

11 points
Houston Texans (1-4) over Detroit Lions (0-5)

I'm only now realizing how dangerous this is: 11 points on the Houston Texans, who barely beat the Dolphins last week.

But this is Detroit we're talking about.

10 points
Pittsburgh Steelers (4-1) over Cincinnati Bengals (0-6)

How can it get any worse for the Bengals? No Carson Palmer.

9 points
Washington Redskins (4-2) over Cleveland Browns (2-3)

Yeah, yeah, yeah ... We were are really impressed by that little show you put on back on Monday night, Cleveland. Now hit the road and get back to losing.

8 points
Dallas Cowboys (4-2) over St. Louis Rams (1-4)

No real comment about the actual game, but I was just thinking about this photo.

7 points
Tennessee Titans (5-0) over Kansas City Chiefs (1-4)

It almost feels a little too obvious ...

6 points
Chicago Bears (3-3) over Minnesota Vikings (3-3)

After dropping all the way to the second to last position in the Power Rankings last week, I'd say six points this week is "generous."

5 points
Indianapolis Colts (3-2) over Green Bay Packers (3-3)

The Packers are hanging around, but the Colts are coming off a pretty big beating of the Ravens last week. Could be tight.

4 points
Miami Dolphins (2-3) over Baltimore Ravens (2-3)

Ick ... I guess it's time for me to finally pick the Dolphins for the very first time this year. Try not to fuck this one up, boys!

3 points
Denver Broncos (4-2) over New England Patriots (3-2)

My Broncos buzz isn't near as strong as it was three weeks back, but it's certainly a lot better feeling than the one I have for the Pats.

2 points
Buffalo Bills (4-1) over San Diego Chargers (3-3)

Second week in a row that I'm betting nearly the minimal amount against the Chargers. The Bills at home on a Sunday afternoon, however, is more favorable than New England on the road in the prime-time game.

1 point
Carolina Panthers (4-2) over New Orleans Saints (3-3)

Only because Carolina's at home.
