Week Six Picks

And look! There's even an online pool where I can actually win actual money!:

14 points
Washington Redskins (4-1) over St. Louis Rams (0-4)

The Rams are bad on both sides of the ball and the Redskins are hot.

Duh.

13 points
Minnesota Vikings (2-3) over Detroit Lions (0-4)

Have you seen Detroit play? They're bad. Like, really bad.

And the Vikings so need a "gimme" right now.

12 points
New York Giants (4-0) over Cleveland Browns (1-3)

Did you realize that the last three teams the Giants played (St. Louis, Cincinnati and Seattle) have won a total of one game this season? I'm not saying the schedule's soft, but I'm just saying ...

11 points
Dallas Cowboys (4-1) over Arizona Cardinals (3-2)

Please delay my seat on the Buzzsaw bandwagon for another week.

10 points
New Orleans Saints (2-3) over Oakland Raiders (0-3)

I foresee a very big week for Drew Brees.

9 points
Chicago Bears (3-2) over Atlanta Falcons (3-2)

From what I hear, Atlanta is still not a very good football team.

I hope they're right.

8 points
Philadelphia Eagles (2-3) over San Francisco 49ers (2-3)

This is a win Philly must have early in the season. They're the better team on paper and they should be able to prove it.

7 points
New York Jets (2-2) over Cincinnati Bengals (0-5)

Oh, I'm guessing that the Bengals will put a good scare on New York for a while (Carson Palmer could have a big game). But Favre has been playing pretty good himself (110.8 QB Rating), and the hell if Cincy's first win is this week.

6 points
Denver Broncos (4-1) over Jacksonville Jaguars (2-3)

It's going to be hard for the dreaded Jags to screw me over in Denver.

5 points
Indianapolis Colts (2-2) over Baltimore Ravens (2-2)

It's tempting to pick a Baltimore team that's coming off two pretty close losses, but the Colts are due to give their new home a win.

4 points
Houston Texans (0-4) over Miami Dolphins (2-2)

One of the league's winless teams is bound to get something in the other column, I suppose. Don't get me wrong; the Dolphins are nowhere near as shitty as they were last year.

3 points
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-2) over Carolina Panthers (4-1)

Highly likely to be a very enjoyable football game. Or, at the very least, a close one. The Bucs are at home and are pretty successful when playing there.

2 points
New England Patriots (3-1) over San Diego Chargers (2-3)

Because it's still that time of the year where it's OK for the Chargers to totally disappoint you.

1 point
Green Bay Packers (2-3) over Seattle Seahwaks (1-3)

Truly the lesser of two evils. I really wasn't enthusiastic about picking either team.
